Historic Ephrata Cloister, established in 1732, contains some of the most significant architecture surviving from colonial America. The day will include demonstrations of colonial building trades, architectural feature tours, and a one-day exhibit on Ephrata's restoration.
Special upstairs tours of the unrestored areas of the Saron and Saal will also be available on a limited basis, to individuals 12+ years of age. Upstairs tours require the purchase of a timed ticket in addition to a General Admission ticket. Tours will begin promptly and we cannot guarantee availability at other times.
PLEASE NOTE: Upstairs Tours require that you be able to climb and descend very steep winding stairs without any type of assistance, as well as the completion of a liability waiver which will be provided when you check in at the Visitor Center.
