Homeschool Days at the Historic Ephrata Cloister features our new virtual educational program, Obed’s Classroom. This event will consist of four virtual visits held over the course of the day. The lessons combine live narration, photographs, object show and tell, and activities for students to do right at their desks. Each lesson lasts about 30 minutes.
Lessons will be as follows (ending time flexible):
9:00-9:30 Where Ephrata Began: Life in the early Ephrata Cloister
10:00-10:30 By the Book: Printing the Martyrs' Mirror and Other Books
11:00-11:30 Good Humors: Medicine in Early Ephrata
12:30-1:00 Lessons From the Past: Education from the 1740s to the 1840s.
The $15 fee includes all 4 lessons.
A link and worksheets for the activities will be sent to each family 2 days prior to the event.
